Cancellation Policy

How to cancel your security review order and what to expect.

Overview

We understand that plans and timelines can change. This policy explains how you can cancel your security review order and what happens after cancellation.

Please note that cancellation is different from requesting a refund. Cancellation refers to stopping a scheduled review or order, while refunds are covered separately.

Cancellation Before Review Starts (0-48 Hours)

✅ Full Cancellation Available

If you cancel within 48 hours of payment and before our team has accessed your website:

  • Your order is canceled
  • You are eligible for a full refund
  • No security review will be performed
  • All data is securely deleted from our systems

How to Cancel During Grace Period

  1. Log in to your VulnX account
  2. Find the pending order in your dashboard
  3. Click "Cancel Order"
  4. Confirm the cancellation
  5. Or email hello@vulnx.in with "Order Cancellation Request" in the subject line

Cancellation During Review (48+ Hours)

⚠️ Non-Refundable Once Work Begins

Once our security team has begun working on your review (after 48 hours):

  • Cancellation is still possible, but no refund will be issued
  • You will be charged for the work already completed
  • If a partial report has been compiled, it will be made available to you
  • Partial payments are non-refundable

⚠️ Important: Once our team has accessed your website or begun any analysis, work has been performed that we cannot "undo." Payment for this work is non-refundable.

Partial Cancellation During Review

If you cancel mid-review:

  • You pay for work completed up to the cancellation point
  • Any partial report or findings are provided
  • No refund is issued for the remainder of the work
  • You may not request completion at a later date

After Report Delivery

Once your security report has been delivered and is available for download:

  • No cancellations are possible — the service is complete
  • You have permanent access to the report
  • You can contact support for clarifications or follow-up questions
  • Refunds are not available after delivery

How to Request Cancellation

Option 1: Through Your Dashboard

  1. Log in to your VulnX account
  2. Go to "My Orders" or "Audit Requests"
  3. Find the order you want to cancel
  4. Click "Cancel Order" (available only if order hasn't started)
  5. Confirm the cancellation

Option 2: Contact Support

  1. Email hello@vulnx.in with "Order Cancellation Request" in the subject
  2. Include your order ID and reason for cancellation
  3. We'll confirm receipt within 24 hours
  4. We'll process the cancellation and notify you of the status

Cancellation Timeline

0-48 Hours After Payment

✅ Cancellation allowed, Full refund eligible

48 Hours - Review In Progress

⚠️ Cancellation allowed, No refund, Pay for work done

After Report Delivery

❌ No cancellation available, Service complete

What Happens After Cancellation

Your Data

  • Any data you provided (website details, contact info) will be securely deleted
  • We do not retain scanning data from canceled orders
  • Your account with VulnX remains active unless you delete it

Confirmation Email

You'll receive an email confirming:

  • Order cancellation status
  • Whether a refund will be issued (if eligible)
  • Expected refund timeline

Future Orders

After cancellation, you can:

  • Submit a new order for a future date
  • Choose a different plan or tier
  • Contact support to discuss custom schedules

Important Notes

  • Prompt Action: If you want to cancel within the 48-hour window, request as soon as possible to ensure processing.
  • Sunday/Holidays: Cancellation requests submitted on weekends or holidays will be processed the next business day.
  • Refund Delays: Even if a refund is eligible, it may take 5-7 business days to appear in your account due to bank processing times.
  • Recurring Checks: Cancellations are final. Once canceled, your order cannot be revived — you must submit a new order.
  • Contact Support: If you have questions about cancellation eligibility, contact us before requesting cancellation.
